Pas de wi-fi gratuit dans les trains SNCB en raison des coûts excessifs

La SNCB a indiqué que l'installation du wi-fi gratuit dans ses trains engendrait des coûts excessifs.

Les usagers du train amateurs de séries en streaming vont être déçus : le wi-fi gratuit dans les trains belges, ce n'est pas pour demain. Et pourtant, la Société nationale des chemins de fer belges avait réalisé des tests, notamment sur la ligne Eupen-Ostende.

Deux wagons étaient alors équipés de wi-fi et les résultats étaient très positifs. Mais apparemment cela ne se concrétisera jamais. Pour le moment. Le problème ? Une question de coût. L'installation du wi-fi coûterait environ 300.000 euros par rame. La société de chemin de fer belge demeurera donc en retard par rapport à ses homologues des Pays-Bas, du Royaume-Uni, des pays scandinaves et même de Chine ou d'Inde.
